Hypnotherapy & Analysis

Hypnotherapy is a very ancient therapy going back thousands of years. It was used by the ancient Egyptians, Chinese, Native Americans and many other cultures. In fact most meditative techniques are based around a degree of self hypnosis. Religious chanting also induces a mild form of hypnosis. As we pass from the stage of conscious awareness into sleep we also go through the alpha rhythm state of hypnosis. So all those people who say to you "I can't be hypnotised" are wrong because they all go through the hypnotic state into and out of sleep. Whenever you become totally engrossed in something for example a movie, good book or even a sporting spectacle or theatre play you will be in a mild form of hypnosis. Contrary to popular belief therefore hypnosis is a heightened form of awareness where the mind is highly focused. It is in this highly focused state that the subconscious mind can be accessed for therapeutic purposes. It is this therapeutic part of the process that has to be carried out by qualified well-trained therapists.

Hypnotherapy can be used to treat very many conditions essentially those associated with fears and phobias e.g. anxiety disorders, anger, skin problems, smoking, panic attacks, stress, weight control, exam nerves.

Golf and other sports can be improved with the use of personalised suggestion work.

Suggestion work however is only one of the hypnotherapeutic techniques available to a qualified and well trained therapist. Analysis and regression techniques can and are used to heal many psychosomatic illnesses. The process normally takes at least 5 to 10 sessions sometimes more when the problem is very intractable.
